Sevinj Samadzade is an independent researcher, a consultant and trainer. She gained her BA in International Relations from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a Fred J.Hansen Fellow, she specialised in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of San-Diego in USA. She has served as a consultant and a coordinator for several civil society organizations in Azerbaijan and Georgia in the framework of regional cross border programmes focusing on peace-building, conflict awareness and gender and civic activism since 2012. As an independent researcher she focuses on field-based policy briefs and papers on conflict transformation, peace building, and youth-peace-security. Sevinj is a national coordinator of Y-PEER Azerbaijan, a youth peer education network. In this capacity, she has implemented numerous projects and training programmes and reached thousands of young people in Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan.
